Columbus OVI In Excess Of .20 Reduced to Misdemeanor Offense

Posted On: December 11th, 2015

The criminal defense attorneys at Luftman, Heck & Associates have a great deal of experience handling OVI cases in and around the Columbus area. Recently, a man was involved in an accident in Monroe County and was charged with an OVI. The experienced OVI lawyers of LHA represented the man in his first charge.

While our client’s blood test was pending, we were able to convince the prosecutor that his blood test would be inadmissible – the time of operation was not clear. Even with the tests showing an excess of a .20 BAC, substantially over the .08 legal Ohio limit, the prosecutor agreed to allow our client to plead to a minor misdemeanor offense.
