Drug Paraphernalia and Marijuana Possession Charges from Concert Dismissed

Posted On: September 5th, 2013

A music lover in his late thirties travelled from Las Vegas to Columbus to watch a large music festival where many of his favorite bands were performing. While in the parking lot before the show, he was smoking marijuana and approached by three Ohio Department of Public Safety officers who questioned him and then charged him with drug paraphernalia and drug possession. His case was then scheduled in Franklin County Municipal Court.

This was not how he envisioned his weekend in Columbus to go. He did not want to have any type of criminal convictions on his record and it was going to be difficult for him to keep coming to Columbus for court dates. After researching criminal defense firms online, he contacted the Columbus Criminal Defense team and spoke with the experienced Columbus drug attorney Ben Luftman to discuss his options. Convinced that the Columbus Criminal Defense team would do everything possible to achieve his goals, we were hired to represent him on the case.

Attorneys with LHA represented the client on the case and after 5 court dates, were able to get both charges dismissed and our client was not required to appear in court for the dismissal of his case. The result achieved his goals and he was extremely appreciative of the effort and result.
