Driving Under Suspension Cases Dismissed

Posted On: January 16th, 2014

A musician who once lived in Ohio fell into a cycle of driver’s license suspensions while she was a resident of the state. She later moved elsewhere to pursue her music career. She thought when she left Ohio that she also left behind her troubles with the Ohio Bureau of Motor Vehicles.

On a trip back to Ohio, she was pulled over and charged with driving under suspension. She went to the BMV to try to resolve her license problems and was arrested on a warrant from a previous driving under suspension case.

At this point, she realized she needed legal help and called the Columbus Criminal Defense team from jail. We immediately began work on the musician’s behalf and got the necessary approvals that same afternoon to get the warrant set aside. The musician was promptly released from custody.

We worked with the musician, the BMV, and the various courts where she had charges pending to clear up the multiple suspensions. Once her suspensions were cleared, she was able to get a valid driver’s license in the state where she now lives.

Once the suspensions were cleared, we were able to get all of her driving under suspension charges dismissed. The musician was able to return home with no further Ohio issues hanging over her head.
