Assault Charge Dismissed

After an argument with his partner, gentleman in his mid-40s recently found himself charged with assault in Franklin County Municipal Court. Of immediate concern to the gentleman was that his charge was filed as a warrant for his arrest. If he was arrested and taken to jail, he would lose his job. Also, the thought of an assault conviction on his criminal background was deeply concerning.

He immediately reached out to attorney Ben Luftman to discuss his options, and after speaking the Columbus Criminal Defense team was hired to represent him on the case. Initially, attorney Luftman was able to get our client’s warrant set aside without him having to turn himself into jail. After, attorney Dan Sabol represented the gentleman on his assault case. After four court dates and a great deal of negotiation, the prosecutor agreed to dismiss the gentleman’s assault case upon his payment of court costs.
