Assault and Domestic Violence Charges Dismissed

A young man was arrested late at night after his fiancé called the police and allegied that he physically assaulted her.  The police charged him with Assault and Domestic Violence.   After entering a plea of not guilty, he was referred to the attorneys with LHA .  After discussing the penalties and future problems he would encounter with this charge on his record, he retained our office to represent him.

During pretrial, we interviewed the victim.  It became evident that not all the initial claims were accurate.  We scheduled the matter for jury trial and had our client complete anger management sessions.  As a result, the prosecutor agreed to dismiss the assault and domestic violence case in exchange for our client’s willingness to pay the court costs.
