A parent in his mid-40s found himself in a regrettable position recently. Due to some poor decisions by his son involving alcohol and his son inviting friends over, he found himself charged with endangering children in Franklin County Municipal Court.
Having never been charged with more than a traffic violation and really being punished for his son’s lapses in judgment, the parent was beside himself. He did not know what was going to happen and was afraid that he would go to jail and have a stain on his criminal background that he really did not want to have.

In one year, we will return to file a motion to seal or expunge the record of our client’s conviction, as we do in all of our client’s criminal cases when they are eligible. After the case is sealed, it will be removed from the Franklin County Municipal Clerk of Courts website. It will also be permanently removed from this parent’s criminal background.
