Misdemeanor Theft Charge Dismissed

A young lady in her mid-20s was shopping at a local department store recently when she made an out-of-character and admittedly very poor decision. While shopping she tried to conceal some items and exit the store without paying for them. Before exiting the store, she was stopped by loss prevention and asked to accompany them back to their office. While in their office, she was questioned about the items and confessed to trying to steal them. She was then charged with misdemeanor theft. Her case was scheduled in Franklin County Municipal Court.

At this point in time, she was devastated. She knew she had made a mistake and was convinced that it would follow her for the rest of her life.
