Mother’s Assault and Disorderly Conduct Charges Dismissed

Posted On: May 7th, 2014

Through a series of circumstances, a mother in her early 40s found herself charged by other family members with assault and disorderly conduct against a stepchild. Her case was scheduled in Franklin County Municipal Court.

She was adamant she had done nothing wrong. The Columbus Criminal Defense team had represented her husband previously on a traffic offense and we were the first place she turned when hit with these unexpected and devastating charges.

Attorneys with LHA represented her on the case and after eight court dates, the prosecutor agreed to dismiss the assault and disorderly conduct charges. Had he not, we were prepared to conduct a jury trial on her behalf and had prepared extensively to do so. Our client was grateful for our hard work and strong representation on her behalf. The unwavering belief in his client had helped her charges get dismissed.
