Soliciting a Prostitute Case Dismissed

A gentleman in his early 40s found himself in an embarrassing and potentially life-altering situation recently. Through a series of events, he was charged with soliciting a prostitute by an undercover Columbus Police Department officer. His case was scheduled in Franklin County Municipal Court.

Having never been charged with more than a minor traffic violation, the gentleman was extremely embarrassed that he now had to face a very public charge of soliciting a prostitute. He was concerned by the fact that it is a first-degree misdemeanor and punishable by up to 6 months in jail and a $1,000 fine. He decided he needed to hire an attorney to represent him on the case. Once granted by the judge, the record of the soliciting a prostitute case will be removed from the Franklin County Municipal Clerk of Courts website and from his criminal background. The gentleman will once again have a clean slate.
