Woman Involved In Accident Found Not Guilty

Columbus DUI attorney Daniel Sabol recently represented a woman from Cambridge, Ohio who was involved in a car accident on the freeway one night. Responding police officers made our client perform a field sobriety test and alleged that she had difficulty doing so. Based on her unsteady appearance, they could only assume she had been under the influence and caused the accident. The woman refused the breath test and firmly argued that she was not impaired.

Sabol took her case to trial where he argued on her behalf. Reasoning that if she appeared off, it was due to the stress caused by the traumatic experience of the accident. The woman had no prior alcohol charges and it was unlikely that she had been drinking. At the end of the trial, she was found not guilty.
