OVI Charge Dismissed, Other Charges Reduced, For Man With Priors

Posted On: October 9th, 2015

A 40-year-old man with a prior felony on his record was charged with two counts of domestic violence
and two counts of assault. The victims were his girlfriend and her 14-year-old daughter who periodically lived with them. As this case was pending, the independent contractor was also charged with an OVI in Whitehall while driving without a license. Refusing both the field sobriety and breathalyzer tests, he was arrested.

Under a strong defense, experienced criminal attorneys with LHA represented him and was able to successfully reduce the domestic violence charge down to one count of criminal mischief with a $250 fine. The OVI charge was dismissed completely, but because he was driving without a license at the time, he was required to pay a $250 fine. Our client did not get a license suspension.
