Leigh throws herself into caring for her client’s cases and makes herself readily available. She understands the stress a traffic or criminal case puts on an individual and it is her mission to make unfamiliar territory more palpable for her clients.

Originally from northwest Ohio, Leigh graduated from John Carroll University with a BSBA in Finance.  During her time in college, she competed with both the university’s Ski Team and Sailing Team. Later, while working full-time in the Ashtabula County Public Defender’s Office, she received her JD from Cleveland State University. In law school, Leigh was a managing editor of the Journal of Law and Health.  Leigh is licensed to practice in both Ohio and Federal Court.

Her entire career has been focused on criminal law, including everything from speeding tickets to Death Penalty cases.  Leigh’s experience includes traveling throughout the state for casework; she has practiced in at least 63 counties and in Federal Court for both the Southern and Northern District of Ohio.  While not every case ends in trial, she has tried over 200 cases throughout her career.

One of Leigh’s passions is helping those facing mental health battles. Over the years, Leigh has sat on multiple mental health boards in Franklin County and for the State of Ohio. She was a member of the Franklin County Court of Common Pleas Mental Health Court’s founding board and worked for several years on the Court’s treatment team.

Over the years, Leigh has been invited to speak at attorney training courses and for community events throughout Franklin County.  She believes it is vital for attorneys to keep up to date with developments and changes within the profession, so clients are always represented to the fullest. Her background in both defense and prosecution gives her a unique opportunity to understand the secrets of law enforcement and opposing counsel, giving her clients an advantage when taking on the government.

In her spare time, she is likely rooting for her favorite hockey and football teams or taking her dog to the local parks.
