Happy first day of Summer! Now that Summer is officially here and patio season is in full force, you may feel like enjoying a refreshing alcoholic beverage. If you’re planning on imbibing this evening, be aware that there is a sobriety checkpoint in Columbus tonight.
The Columbus Police Department will be conducting a sobriety checkpoint from 9 p.m. to 3 a.m. on the 2700 block of Cleveland Avenue, just north of Weber Road in Columbus. This location is on the northeast side of Columbus.
If you decide to drink alcohol this evening, remember to act responsibly. If you’ve had too much to drink or you feel too impaired to drive, call a cab or sober designated driver. An OVI / DUI is the last thing you want to have happen on the first day of Summer.
