Jaywalking and Possession Of Marijuana Charges Dismissed For Ohio State University Student

Posted On: December 14th, 2015

A 22-year-old Ohio State University student was recently stopped by university police for jaywalking while off campus one day. After stopping her, officers conducted a search and found marijuana in her purse. It was later realized this senior college student had a warrant out for her arrest in Delaware. At this point, officers took her to the police station where she bonded out and quickly made a call to Luftman, Heck & Associates.

Using a strong defense on behalf of our client, we obtained a dismissal of the possession of marijuana charge against his client in exchange for a guilty plea to jaywalking. Our client, a busy college student, was not required to go to the court appearance.
