Soliciting Prostitution Charge Dismissed

Posted On: April 9th, 2015

A gentleman in his early 40s who recently came to this country found himself in a very worrying predicament. While driving home from work one evening he stopped to talk to a young lady and the result of the conversation was a soliciting prostitution charge with an arraignment court date in Franklin County Municipal Court.

There were so many concerns that the gentleman had. First and foremost, he is not a US citizen and was extremely concerned that a soliciting prostitution conviction could derail his chance at citizenship. Through his community, he was referred to attorney Ben Luftman. After speaking with attorney Luftman, the Columbus Criminal Defense team was hired to try and get the soliciting prostitution charge dismissed and save our client’s citizenship dreams.

Attorneys with LHA represented our client in his case. After four court dates, we negotiated the dismissal of our client’s soliciting prostitution case in exchange for his payment of court costs and fulfillment of a couple conditions which he was more than happy to complete.

The dismissal of our client’s case is only the first step. On all criminal cases, when eligible, the Columbus Criminal Defense team files a motion to seal or expunge our client’s record. If granted, the expungement completely removes the record of the charge from our client’s record and is integral in trying to move on from a criminal charge.
