Columbus criminal defense attorneys Chase Mallory and Dan Sabol were invited to speak at the annual OVI / DUI seminar presented by the Ohio Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers. The seminar is the largest OVI / DUI seminar in the state, and is nationally recognized. The event draws presenters from all over the country to talk about various topics related to OVI / DUI law. This year’s seminar presents the “Best in the Midwest” advanced topics in OVI / DUI law.
Attorney Mallory was asked to give a presentation about “Examining the Log Books in Breath Test OVI / DUI Cases.” His audience learned tips about potential errors to watch for when reviewing all of their client’s and the machine’s breath test information. Finding an error could be the key to getting a client’s charge reduced or case dismissed.
Attorney Sabol was invited to give the concluding presentation on the first day of the seminar. He spoke about roadblock cases, and taught his audience all of the potential issues to look for when handling a case involving an OVI / DUI checkpoint set up by law enforcement.
The annual seminar started Thursday, March 6, and concludes Saturday, March 8.
