If you are licensed to drive in Ohio and convicted of an OVI / DUI or lesser offenses in the Columbus area, such as physical control or reckless operation of a motor vehicle, different point values will be assessed by the Ohio Bureau of Motor Vehicles (BMV) on your license.

| Felony involving vehicle | 6 points |
| Underage O.V.I. | 4 points |
| Reckless Operation | 4 points |
| Speed (30 or more over limit) | 4 points |
| Speed | 0-2 points |
| Other moving violations | 2 points |
If your driver’s license is from a state other than Ohio, the points associated with the above listed offenses will likely not apply to you.
